Becoming perhaps

There is an early indication that temperatures are cooling and the dominance of the Atlantic easing slightly after what seems a couple of months of warm wet westerlies.
There's been plenty of snow over the Scottish mountains but to be honest not a per-longed cold snap e.g. -10c for 10 days (proper winter weather).
So what does this mean? Could mean anything I suppose, but by the last week of January things might be generally more wintery with a shift to a dominant easterly weather system. Then again it could just piss it down
